Renato Mattei emailed me about a white witch "volando en la tarde como a las 5 Pm, se poso en esa palmera y solo le puede hacer una foto porque siguió volando, eso fue en Puerto Ayacucho, Estado Amazonas, Venezuela." I am gaining the impression that informal observations and reports will be at least as important as museum records. Advantages: 1) we can query an observer about details (like behavior) not found on specimen labels; 2) initiating conversations with correspondents, we're likely to get the word to their contacts "there is this project about those huge moths ..." --DLC
